  1. First decide what you want your life to be like now that you have this coaching business. You know, your life is different now. You are the boss now. You get to decide when you work, how you work, how you price.
  2. Strategize every step of your business development to fit that vision. Sometimes you have to take a step back. You know, I often have a Friday where I take 2 hours and just think about what I want now for my business.
  3. Only offer times on your schedule that you truly want to work. I can’t tell you how often I see coaches work weekends or nights because they think they have to.
  4. Only offer exactly what you want to offer and not what you think you should offer. A client comes along and want this instead so the coach will make up something just for them.
  5. Create a low overhead, easy to manage business. One that’s doesn’t have tons of costs so you are losing profits every day.
  6. Treat yourself with the respect you want your colleagues, prospects and clients to have for you. To actually think about and do what is right for you. Automatically, energetically, people will respect you more.
  7. Charge prices that will help you reach your financial goals right NOW! Not in 2 or 5 years from now when you are “a more experienced coach”.
